Summer in Omaha is such a fun time to get out and explore. From lively festivals to laid-back nights with live music, there’s something for everyone. Explore local favorites, discover new spots, and make the most of the season! We’ll be updating this post throughout the 2026 season, so be sure to check back for new events!

RECURRING EVENTS

Late Nights at the Zoo | @theomahazoo

Adults 21+ can experience a unique version of a wild night out on select dates!

Vibes Summer Concert Series at Village Pointe | @village_pointe

Village Pointe is hosting a free concert series throughout the summer in the Amphitheater!

Music at Miller Park | @operformingarts

A free concert series hosted by Omaha Performing Arts in Miller Park!

Dates: June 20th – August 8th

Friday Night Market in Turner Park | @midtowncrossing

Enjoy 40+ local vendors, live music, activities, and more in Midtown Crossing!

Dates: Last Friday of every month (June – August)

Jazz on the Green | @midtowncrossing

Enjoy live music under the summer sky during this free concert series in Midtown Crossing!

Dates: Every Thursday in July and August

JUNE EVENTS

Fourth of July Beach Party at Heartwood | @heartwood_omaha

Heartwood Preserve is transforming into a tropical oasis with sand sculptures, water slides, games, and themed food! Stick around into the evening for a free concert before sunset and a firework show!

Date: July 4th, 2026 from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Santa Lucia Festival | @santaluciafestival

Celebrate Italian heritage at the Santa Lucia Festival with authentic food, live music, cultural traditions, and more!

Global Sounds Music Festival | @operformingarts

This free, family‑friendly event brings together incredible local and international artists, delicious food, community vendors, fireworks, and more!

Summerfest at River’s Edge | @omaha_riverfront

This free family-friendly event will feature a drone show, live music, interactive activities, and fun for all ages!

College World Series | @cwsomahainc

Every June, the heart of the baseball world meets in Omaha as fans from across the country travel to Charles Schwab Field for two weeks of unforgettable action!

Heartwood Preserve has a new water park that is open to the public every Saturday in August!

Omaha Fashion Week | @omahafashionweek

Playing with Fire | @pwfireomaha

Playing with Fire returns in 2026 with a lineup of international blues and rock acts, including Elles Bailey, Jeni Grouws, Cedar County Cobras, King King, Will Wilde, The Pocket Architects, Meena Coyle & the Chris Fillmore Band, Colin Linden, Rozedale, and more take the stage across multiple nights!
