Runza

If you’re not from Nebraska then I’m gonna let you in on a little secret.. Nebraskans love their Runza®. The fast-food restaurant was started in Lincoln in 1949 and has since opened restaurants all over Nebraska and expanded beyond our state. Runza® is a great midwest tradition and if you haven’t yet, you must give them a try. If not for the food, then just for the sake of saying you’ve been to Runza®.

WHAT THE HECK IS A RUNZA®?

If you mention Runza® to anyone outside the midwest then they will probably have no idea what you’re talking about. The Runza® Sandwich is ground beef seasoned with a top-secret blend of spices and mixed with cabbage and onions, all wrapped up in fresh-baked bread. You can get tons of different kinds of sandwiches like cheeseburger, Swiss mushroom, bbq bacon, BLT and more.

THE REST OF THE MENU

Runza® has other classic fast-food items on their menu like burgers, wraps, salads, delicious fries and desserts. I got to try the BLT wrap, sweet berry chicken salad, and frings (fries and onion rings in the same pouch. Genius).

FIND A RUNZA®

It’s pretty easy to find a Runza® while driving down the street but you can also find a list of all their locations on their website. If you’re traveling around the midwest this year, keep an eye out for Runza® in Iowa, Kansas or Colorado!

Thanks to Runza for sponsoring this post!
