Weekend Trip: Kimberly Creek Retreat

Did you know there's a glamping retreat just 30 minutes away from Omaha? Kimberly Creek Retreat offers 10 different glamping cabins or domes available for rent! Despite being so close to both Omaha and Lincoln, it truly feels like an escape from normal life! Check out the list of cabins they offer, or just keep reading to learn more about the property first!

ABOUT THE PROPERTY

Sitting on 20 acres of land, Kimberly Creek Retreat is the perfect place to escape for a few days. There are 10 cabins at the retreat but each of them feels very private with trees or fences surrounding their area. There are a few different trails for you to explore during your stay with a chance of seeing wildlife! I saw some HUGE turkeys during one of my morning walks.

The trails and the entire property are very kid friendly. There is a specified "kids area" in a clearing of the camp where they've built some play structures, and the owners have even created two scavenger hunts along the trails to keep the kids entertained.

WHAT TO DO IN THE AREA

There are a lot of attractions right outside the retreat for you to visit! Mahoney State Park is a quick 5 minute drive away, the SAC Museum is nearby, The Wildlife Safari Park is a 3 minute drive away, and the Quarry Oaks Golf Course is a 5 minute drive.

For dinner you can check out Round the Bend Steakhouse which is a 2 minute drive.

THE CABINS

Kimberly Creek has 8 different sized cabins and 2 domes for you to choose from. They sleep anywhere from 2-8 people so there are options for all different sized groups or families. Each accommodation includes air conditioning/heating, ensuite bathroom and private shower, mini fridge and microwave, dishes and flatware, and a propane grill and fire pit. A few of the cabins also have a hot tub and deck with outdoor furniture.
