THE FOOD
There's a reason Get Real Sandwiches claims Omaha's Best Cuban Sandwich. This mouthwatering combination of pork belly, ham, and swiss on a Cuban roll is crafted to perfection. The fries were crispy and hot, as well. The menu is streamlined, but every item is thoughtful and uses fresh, local ingredients. Choose from a sandwich or salad, and add chips, fries, or fritters. I also tried the fried brussels which were excellent!
THE DRINKS
Beer on tap includes local favorites Fairy Nectar from Kros Strain and Pistachio Porter from Infusion Brewing. Or order a glass of wine or a cocktail.
WEEKEND BRUNCH
In addition to their tasty fries and sandwiches, Get Real is now serving brunch! The brunch menu includes items like the Monte Cubano (a cubano with a powdered sugar fruit preserve), the Great Dilemma (a fried chicken sandwich with gravy and an egg), the Lost Lox (a fancy take on your bagel with lox), and more.
Top off your meal with a boozy brunch bevvie, from a Bloody Mary or a mimosa (dubbed "Sunrise Bubbles" here!), or a Giddy Up (vodka, coffee liquer, frothed coffee and vanilla).
HOURS AND LOCATION
Get Real Sandwiches is located on the corner of 39th and Farnam in Blackstone. Open every day (except for Mondays) from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m, so you can grab a late-night sandwich, as well!
Grab brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
