Ice Skating is Officially Open for the Season at the Skate Ribbon in Heartland of America Park Downtown!

ABOUT
Ice skating is officially open for the season at the Skate Ribbon downtown! With twinkling lights, a giant Christmas tree, holiday music, and a firepit in the center, it’s the perfect spot to get into the holiday spirit and spend time with friends and family. If you’re not great at skating (like some of us), the railings and skate aids make it great for all skill levels. Skating is free if you bring your own equipment, and rentals are available on-site if you need them!
RESERVATIONS
If you’re looking to do some skating this season, waivers are required to enter the Skate Ribbon and reservations are required Friday – Sunday, both can be found on their website at theriverfrontomaha.com. Skates are available for rent if you do not have your own equipment, rentals are $5 for adults and $4 for kids 12 and under.
LOCATION & HOURS
The Skate Ribbon is located in Heartland of America Park downtown at 303 Eighth St. Construction is everywhere right now, so we recommend parking in the garage off Eighth Street next to Tupelo Honey, it’s the closest and easiest way to get there.
They’re open Monday – Thursday from 4pm – 9pm, Friday from 2pm – 10pm, Saturday from 11am – 10pm, and Sunday from 11am – 9pm. Don’t forget to make a reservation if you plan to skate Friday – Sunday.
