This unique spot is the only restaurant in Nebraska where you can enjoy traditional Japanese BBQ with Korean flair. Koen first opened in Lincoln and just recently added their first Omaha location in Blackstone. Each table is equipped with smokeless grills featuring a special ventilation system to pull smoke away, so you can focus on cooking your own pre-marinated, premium meats to perfection right at your table. In Japanese, Koen means “to gather,” and with private dining rooms, catering options, and spacious tables it’s the perfect place to bring together friends and family for a memorable meal.

The menu at Koen offers a delicious mix of Korean and Japanses dishes, plus an impressive sushi menu. Their Japanese BBQ selection includes a variety of premium cuts, flavorful sides and many even include dessert. If you have dietary preferences, Koen offers gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options upon request. To drink, Koen offers a vast drink menu that pairs perfectly with your meal, featuring everything from sake and cocktails to refreshing mocktails.
We tried the Koen Premium Japanese BBQ meal, which somes with soup, salad, crab rangoon, rib eye, short rib, skirt steak, sirloin and finishes with a lemon cheesecake dessert. For drinks, we paired it with the Blueberry Yobo Spitz, Sake and a Piña Colada which were all delicious and complimented our meal well.
