A Message from the Organizers:
Everyone deserves food. Period. End of sentence.
Since SNAP is set to lapse for roughly 150,000 Nebraskans and over 40 million people nationwide starting on Saturday, we’ll be running a food drive until folks are able to again get the assistance they need to keep food on their shelves.
Starting tomorrow (10/31) bring in any 5 non-perishable food items and we’ll pour your first beer for $1. We’ll deliver all donations to a local food bank or pantry each week. Additionally, if you or someone you know needs a meal, we’ll be offering a grilled cheese or hot ham and cheese with chips and a soda or water for no charge. Simply ask for the Community Special, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Lastly, don’t bring politics into this thread. This is about helping people in our community – nothing more, nothing less. Cheers!
