Celebrate the 4th of July in Ralston – A Day Full of Family Fun and Tradition

Join us for one of Nebraska’s longest-running Independence Day celebrations in the heart of Ralston. From a morning fun run to a festive parade and community events throughout the day, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re a long-time attendee or visiting for the first time, this celebration is packed with small-town charm and patriotic spirit.

Event Lineup:

Optimists Independence Day Fun Run/Walk
📍 77th & Main Street
🕢 7:50 AM – One-Mile Walk/Run
🕗 8:00 AM – Three-Mile Race
All participants receive a commemorative T-shirt.

Children’s Parade
📍 Begins at 5505 Miller Ave.
🕤 Line-up at 9:30 AM | Parade starts at 10:00 AM
Open to kids 6th grade and under — no registration required.
Led by Mayor Don Groesser with prizes for creativity and spirit!

65th Annual Independence Day Parade
📍 Downtown Ralston
🕐 1:00 PM
Hosted by KAT 103.7 and featuring Parade Marshall: The Haas Family. A classic tradition that draws thousands every year!

Ralston Fire Department Water Fights
📍 Downtown, immediately following the main parade
Cheer on the local fire department or get a little wet yourself — a community favorite!

Foam Party Cool Down at The Granary
📍 74th & Main Street
🕞 3:30–4:30 PM
Enjoy a foam-filled dance party with music, food trucks, and family-friendly fun. Sponsored by the City of Ralston and The Granary.

Admission is free and open to the public. Bring your lawn chairs, wear your red, white, and blue, and enjoy an unforgettable 4th of July in Ralston!
