Late Nights at the Zoo

Back by popular demand, Late Nights at the Zoo returns select Thursday evenings starting May 29. This event for guests 21 and older, offers adult sips, food truck bites and unforgettable wild sights under the stars.

New this year, Late Nights at the Zoo features Zoo-tique, a vendor market showcasing local makers. Music bingo also returns every night. Plus, enjoy special appearances by Ambassador Animals and a weekly species spotlight to learn about conservation efforts and the Zoo’s resident animals from knowledgeable staff.

Limited Availability: Aquarium Backstage Experience

Enhance your evening with the new Backstage Experience add-on, offering a behind-the-scenes tour of the Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium. This exclusive experience provides insights into the aquarium’s operations and marine life care.

Cost is $75 per person. Availability is limited each night, so early booking is recommended. Tickets are nonrefundable and cancellations will only be made by Omaha Zoo Education.

Admission Purchase Includes

• Access to select Zoo exhibits after-hours
• Ability to purchase cuisine from local food trucks
• One complimentary drink ticket (issued with event admission wristband)
  • Complimentary drink ticket can be used for 1 alcoholic OR 2 non-alcoholic beverages.
    • Additional drink tickets can be pre-purchased online with your event admission or onsite at multiple kiosks throughout the event area. Drink tickets are not valid for food truck purchases.

Ticket Inquiries

Late Nights at the Zoo admission tickets are nonrefundable, but can be moved to a new date in the event you are unable to attend. Please note, there may be limited availability as certain dates may sell out. Please contact Guest Services at (402) 733-8401 for assistance with the ticket transfer.

All drink tickets are valid for Late Nights at the Zoo after-hour events only. All drink tickets expire the same date of your event and cannot be used for another date. Unused drink tickets will not be refunded.

Zoo Habitats Open During Event 

• Buildings: Scott Aquarium, Desert Dome, Kingdoms of the Night, Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom Pavilion, and Hubbard Gorilla Valley (indoor family quarters only)
  • Desert Dome (desert habitat) and Hubbard Gorilla Valley will close at sundown.
  • Kingdoms of the Night and Scott Aquarium are open until 10:30 p.m.
• Outdoor Habitats (weather dependent): African Grasslands, Garden of the Senses, Harper Event Center, Glacier Bay Landing, Asian Highlands, and Owen Sea Lion Shores
  • Hoofstock will move to indoor housing 30 minutes before sundown.
  • Asian Highlands will close at 10 p.m. All other outdoor habitats open until 10:30 p.m.
