Disney fans, this one is for you! Step into the magic of your favorite films at Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume, open at The Durham Museum through October 18t. The exhibit features 70 iconic costumes from beloved Disney characters like Cinderella, Maleficent, Mary Poppins, Captain Jack Sparrow, and Aladdin. This is your chance to get up close to the original film-worn costumes and see the incredible craftsmanship and detail that brought these characters to life on screen.
Looking for a fun family outing or date night on a budget? The Durham is offering $5 after 5 PM on Tuesdays, now through Labor Day. Admission is just $5, and the crowds are a little lighter too!

The exhibit is included with admission and features exclusive insights from Emmy and Academy Award-winning costume designers. Guests can also step into “Cinderella’s Workshop” to explore how the iconic character has evolved over the years. Additional offerings include Sunday matinee screenings, guided Saturday tours, and trivia and story time on Wednesdays!

Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume is on display at The Durham Museum through October 25th. The Museum is open Monday and Wednesday – Saturday from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Sunday from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM, and Tuesdays until 8:00 PM for $5 after 5 PM until Labor Day.
