More Info

This event allows homeowners to get a Transfer on Death Deed in place, which allows them to pass their home to their loved ones without having to go through probate court. This event is completely free and open to any homeowner that lives in Nebraska. It is also a partnership with Kutak Rock law firm, who is supplying all of the lawyers for the event.

Did you know that inaccurate paperwork could mean that your most valuable asset may not remain with your loved ones when you pass? That’s why we help you take control of your home’s future and ensure your family can avoid probate and continue to build generational wealth from your home.

Transfer on Death Deeds are a way for you to make sure your home gets passed to a beneficiary of your choice after your death.

A TODD allows you to pass on your house without a will. By recording a transfer on death deed, you retain homeownership rights during your lifetime, then the TODD takes effect upon a homeowner’s death, without a need for probate. You can name multiple beneficiaries.

It’s a topic that can be hard to talk about, yet it’s one of the most important conversations you can have.

At no cost, Habitat Omaha helps make the real estate property transfer process easier for local homeowners.
