Casa de la Cultura is the non-profit organization behind Fiestas Patrias, and is celebrating its 105 year anniversary of Mexican festivals in Omaha this year.

Casa de la Cultura continues its 105 years of Festivals to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month on historic 24th Street South and Plaza de la Raza! Enjoy live entertainment, carnival rides, food, exhibitors, parade, Zumbathon, concerts, mass with mariachi, and special events including Noche de Cumbia concert with Grupo Control and Massoro, El Salvador Civic Act, meet Adassa, the voice of Dolores in Disney’s Encanto, and the ceremony for Mexico’s Independence Night. All weekend FREE!

Big events for each day:

Friday: – Cumbia Night (5PM-10:30PM)

Saturday:

– Parade (Route Route: M St (23 to 24) & 25 Street (M to Q)) (11AM-12AM)

– Acto Civico Salvadoreño (Celebrate the independence of El Salvador through a traditional civic ceremony, folkloric dances, and a couple dance competition with a chance to win a prize! Presented by Salvadoreños Unidos en Nebraska.) (4PM-5PM)

Sunday:

– Mass with Mariachi (10:30 AM)

– Zumbathon (open to all ages and levels) (12PM)

– Rumba Colombiana (Enjoy two hours of Colombia’s best. Meet Adassa, the voice of Dolores from Disney’s Encanto and enjoy a live performance from Latino Son and Aldo Tributo, bringing the best of Colombian rhythm to Omaha, Nebraska.) (4PM – 6PM)

– Noche de Independencia (Join us for a spectacular Night of Independence filled with tradition, culture, and community pride. Experience the Mexican National Anthem, charros on horseback, live banda music, dancers, and musicians bringing the celebration to life) (8PM)
