Dante is Omaha’s first restaurant specializing in authentic, wood-fired Neapolitan pizza and rustic Italian cuisine featuring ingredient-driven dishes with fresh produce from local farmers. Chef Nick Strawhecker‘s passion for Italian cuisine is the heart of all that Dante does.
MENU
Dante’s menu is hyper-seasonal and features fresh ingredients for unmistakable flavor. I got to attend a specialty catered dinner and enjoyed early summer vegetables, tagliatelle + smoked pork ragu, wood-smoked beef short rib, Iowa rabbit casoncelli, and fumo pizza. Each course was paired with a perfectly selected wine.
WINE WEEK
Enjoy Dante’s new Wine Week, which takes place during the last week of every month! On Saturdays, attendees are invited to Wine School for $40, where they will learn all about the wine theme that month, as well as take a deep knowledge dive together.
On Wednesdays, guests can enjoy a monthly Wine Dinner, featuring food and wine pairings from a specific region. You can build your cellar and purchase the wines featured at dinner, as well. Dinners are typically $100+ per person.
Lastly, on the last Sunday of the week, Dante diners can enjoy a Try Before You Buy wine event for $25, tasting dozens of Italian wines with distributors and experts on-site.
