Summer in Omaha means one thing: the College World Series is here! Every June, the heart of the baseball world beats in Omaha as fans from across the country descend on Charles Schwab Field for two weeks of unforgettable action. Since 1950, Omaha has been the home of the College World Series (only one of the biggest baseball events in the country!), making this a local landmark to our community. Whether you’re a seasoned baseball fan or just here for the food and the vibes (we got you!), make your way to not just the Charles Schwab Field, but tons of spots downtown over the next two weeks to celebrate one of Omaha’s biggest events! From game-day tips to local hotspots, we’ve put together an ultimate guide to making the most of the College World Series, so let’s play ball!
FANFEST
Check out the amazing activities brought to you by NCAA Corporate Champions & Partners at the FREE College World Series FanFest! Presented by Capitol One, you can spend some time at the batting cages, sip on a cold beverage, and enjoy entertainment from the Fan Fest Main Stage all throughout the CWS in the parking lot!
OMAHA BASEBALL VILLAGE
Bring the family by the Omaha Baseball Village for some frozen yogurt or freshly squeezed lemonade to cool down on those hot game days. If you get hungry, grab some lunch before or after the game from one of OBV’s many vendors, then pick up a t-shirt or baseball cap and cheer on your favorite team!
PARKING
Park Omaha Garages // Several public garages are within walking distance, including the Park 8 Garage (1911 Douglas St) and Park 4 (1301 Harney St)
MECA Lots // Limited parking is available in MECA-owned lots near the stadium. These usually fill quickly on game days, so arrive early
Street Parking // Metered parking is available downtown but often has time restrictions. Use the Park Omaha app to monitor and extend your time
Ride Share & Shuttles // Uber, Lyft, and local public transit are convenient ways to get in and out. Some bars and hotels offer free shuttle service to the stadium so definitely consider checking in advance!
